Our Mission

The mission of the New Canaan Baptist Church is to exalt the Lord through worship, to equip believers for and through discipleship and to provide love, support and encouragement to all God's children through the Word of God.

Our Vision

To be a reaching church that actively and creatively shares the good news of forgiveness and the life transforming promises to all who comes into relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
To be a mending church where people are loved, accepted, and nurtured to spiritual health and maturity.
To be a training church where every participant is equipped to be a faithful, productive follower of Jesus.
To be a sending church that gives monetary and physical resources to take the gospel to our neighborhoods, our cities, our nation, and to our world.

Our Covenant

We, the members of the New Canaan Baptist Church, have made a commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by the experience of accepting forgiveness, and by the redemption of God our Creator, that through the Holy Spirit we will:

Walk together in Christian love.
Show loving care for one another, and to encourage, counsel and admonish one another.
Assemble faithfully for worship and fellowship, and pray earnestly for others as well as for ourselves.
Endeavor to bring up those under our care "in the nurture and admonition of the Lord."
Seek, by Christian example and personal effort, to win others to Christ and to encourage their growth toward Christian maturity.
Share one another's joys and endeavor to bear one another's burdens and sorrows.
Oppose all conduct which compromises our Christian faith, and we will uphold high standards of Christian morality.
Prove the reality of conversion by living godly, fruitful lives.
Maintain a faithful ministry of worship, witness, education, fellowship and service.
Be faithful stewards of our resources and abilities in sharing the gospel with people of all nations.

As a result of this covenant relationship, we will seek earnestly to live to the glory of God who brought us out of darkness into the marvelous light.
