The JFH Scholarship Ministry has recognized graduates at New Canaan for almost 20 years. For a few years we recognized students achieving Honor Roll, Scholar Roll, and Perfect Attendance.

Going forward, we will reinstitute our recognition of students achieving such honors. Starting with the last nine weeks of this grading period, we will be looking for students who can verify their achievements with a printed copy of their report cards.

We request that parents make copies documents that show their child/student achieved Honor Roll, Scholar Roll, or Perfect Attendance. You may present these copies directly to Mrs. Carrie Gay or you may place a copy in the Scholarship Ministry mailbox. I will verify the accuracy of these report cards and maintain a year-long spreadsheet of those accomplishments.

At the end of the school year, we will continue to honor our graduates but we will also recognize those students who have achieved academic excellence. If you receive Honor Roll or Scholar Roll all year long, you will be rewarded with an SAAA trophy or plaque and a church-sponsored outing.

We will also present awards to those students achieving Perfect Attendance and to students who have shown marked improvement in their grades. There will be "no child left behind."

We want to acknowledge all of our students who are attempting to make a difference in their academic achievements. I look forward to working with you and hope to see you all at our yearly JFH Scholarship Ministry Luncheon on Sunday, June 12, 2016. We will also have a special offering that Sunday during the Tithes and Offering portion of the service.
